Computer cleaned - problems after using unhide.exe

Hey everyone, i recently had a windows recovery type of virus where these fake ad pop up constantly on my computer. Along with that all my icons were missing. I managed to use malwarebytes to remove it and everything seemed to be ok...i was then left with no icons and so forth, read on this forum to use unhide.exe. After using it however i found some minor inconveniences still lingering on my computer, such as...

now when i delete something in a folder, it will not go away until i close the folder and open it back up...i think this has something to do with using the unhide.exe. I think that the computer normally will hide deleted icons and so forth but after using unhide.exe everything is unhidden.....is there anyway to get my computer to be acting like normal....has this happened to anyone else?
