Hi there

I am having this Google search redirect problem and I am helpless about. I am a technician in my profession but I cannot remove this malware of my own home computer. I have tried all kind of antivirus/antimalware programs but they are not helping. And I found this site which is my last hope of getting a fix.

I am running Win2003 Server in my home PC. I attach log from HijackThis below.

Please help.

Hi,

  • Download the file TDSSKiller.zip and extract it into a folder on the infected PC.
  • Execute the file TDSSKiller.exe by double-clicking on it.
  • Wait for the scan and disinfection process to be over.
  • When its work is over, the utility prompts for a reboot to complete the disinfection.

By default, the utility outputs runtime log into the system disk root directory (the disk where the operating system is installed, C:\ as a rule).

The log is like UtilityName.Version_Date_Time_log.txt.

for example, C:\TDSSKiller.2.2.0_20.12.2009_15.31.43_log.txt.

Please post that log here.

Hi

Thanks for the reply.

I downloaded TDSSKiller.zip, extracted it and try to launch it. Nothing happens. I renamed the executable and tried to re-launch. Nothing happens too. There is no TDSSKiller log file. I am logged in as 'administrator'.

I rebooted and the problem is still there.

Hi,

Download http://public.avast.com/~gmerek/aswMBR.exe (aswMBR.exe) ( 511KB ) to your desktop. Double click the aswMBR.exe to run it

  • Click the "Scan" button to start scan.
  • Upon completion of the scan, click Save log, and save it to your desktop. (Note - do not select any Fix at this time)
  • Please post the contents of that log in your next reply.

There shall also be a file on your desktop named MBR.dat. Right click that file and select Send To>Compressed (zipped) folder. Please attach that zipped file in your next reply.
