I downloaded latest definition updates for my 1.50 and after the download there was also a download/install of the newest version of Anti-Malware 1.51.

However, when I did a definition update on our other computers, there was no download of the new Anti-Malware 1.51

version.

Is that a problem, or is the Anti-Malware 1.51 version being downloaded sporadically?

Hello alicez,

If the systems that are not updating properly are using the beta version 1.51.0.600 the upgrade path will require mbamclean.exe and a new install. You can get mbamclean from here.

Also please ensure that the option to 'Download and install program update if available' is checked within the Settings tab->Updater Settings tab.

If your system are still not automatically prompting to install the latest version of MBAM please let me know.

Thank you very much!

Mainard I have the beta version and it just updated the DB but never said anything about the program update. I am running the pro version on win7 32bit. I did not do a manual update, I am letting the auto update do its thing see if it lets me know about the program update but it has not as of yet.

Thank you kindly.

You were right. The Download/Install was NOT checked in the settings.

The new upgrade did download/install.

Now the settings has:

#1- Download and install program update if available.

#2- Notify me when a program update is ready for installation

If I just check the #2 one, would that just notify me that an update/UPGRADE was available? And then I would decide if I wanted it to download/isntall at that time? I would be notified of the upgrade, but the upgrade would NOT be automatically made when I was checking for, and downloading, def updates?

I wouldn't have to check the #1 one, if I didn't want the UPGRADE to download and install with regular def updates?

Thanks again

Hello Alicez,

I am glad it has upgraded for you with no issues.

The first option will automatically download the update when you check for updates (either manually or through the scheduler).

The second option will prompt you upon opening MBAM as well as a balloon tip (new to 1.51) to install the latest version (you can cancel the choice at your discretion).

If you have any other questions or issues please do not hesitate to ask.

Thank you very much!
