Today I installed the lasted version of Mplayer. As a precaution, I always scan any file with my antivirus (which is avast) to make certain the file is safe. After completing the installation, I decided to a full scan with malwarebytes pro to make certain.

To my surprise..2 files were listed as infected, A copy of the log below.

c:\program files\mplayer for windows\codecs\msvidc32.dll (Trojan.FakeMS) -> No action taken.

I did a search and found a older, but similar topic on Mplayer, but the files that were infected were different. In the end it seemed those were false positives. I need to know if these files are a real danger or just false positives?
