Hi,

I've caught this Vista Recovery bug, and I've already done the 4 steps mentioned in the main page (hxxp://www.myantispyware.com/2011/05/15/how-to-remove-windows-vista-recovery-virus/).

After that, I've also ran "unhide", then "dds", and then "ComboFix". Between those, I've also done quick/full scans on the computer with MBAM when instructed. BUT most of my files are STILL HIDDEN!! Can someone help please??!

Hi and welcome to Malwarebytes.

What you linked to is not our website.

Please update MBAM, run a Quick Scan, and post its log.

Next, download DDS by sUBs and save it to your Desktop.

Double-click on the DDS icon and let the scan run. When it has run two logs will be produced, please post only DDS.txt directly into your reply.

Hi there, sorry for late reply and thank you for your time.

The main problem for me is that about half of the desktop shortcuts are gone and the start menu folders are still empty.
