Adobe Flash Player

I am having problems with an updater, comes up at different times, that says it wants to update Adobe Flash Player. It does not show what program wants to update the file, so I have clicked no or the "X". When I do this it pops right back up and keeps on doing this when I try to close the updater. I was able to get Task Manger up, and that was a struggle, and checked the Applications tab, and it showed Adobe Flash Player was running. I then right clicked and chose "Processes" and it shows it is linked to "consent.exe." In order to close this updater, I have to shut down my pc. I have run MB and AVG and they have not found anything. I also updated Flash Player and that has not helped. Is this a bug in Flash Player or is it a virus or trojan horse?
