victorb Posted May 25, 2011 ID:433445 Share Posted May 25, 2011 on another computer having a different issue. malwarebytes found trojans and removed. now when searching with google, yahoo,or bing being redirected. The results show correct, but then see some different search engines below while page transferring. tried going to ask.com and it was not redirected. I verified empty host file. tried firefox as well as IE. verified dns was local server. tried ping and same results as good machine. when running nslookup had error ordinal not found, I believe. could not figure it out. ran combofix and did not correct. ended up doing system restore, just wondering if anyone has seen this and knows how to resolve. nothing was running in background (taskmanager)that was causing issue.
