Sorry if this is a repeated topic. I searched and couldnt really find the answer i am looking for. When i scan with MBAMi get the following:

Registry Data Items Infected:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\scrfile\shell\open\command\(default) (Broken.OpenCommand) -> Bad: (NOTEPAD.EXE %1) Good: ("%1" /S) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\regfile\shell\open\command\(default) (Broken.OpenCommand) -> Bad: (NOTEPAD.EXE %1) Good: (regedit.exe "%1") -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.

Are those anything to worry about? I see them often when i scan. Was wondering if they are viruses or just a registry issue. I also read that another security program may be not be allowing MBAM to fix it. The only other program(s) i have are Iolo System Shield and System Guard.

Again thanks! I really like this program!

Greetings and welcome :)

These are simply registry settings and can safely be ignored. IOLO products change these settings from their defaults in order to prevent the execution of .reg files. Since infections can also alter these settings, Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware detects them so that it can reset them to their defaults in the event of an infection, and since our product has now way of determining if the user set these policies this way or an infection set them this way or another security product set them this way, we flag them and attempt to fix them by default. Since IOLO is installed, after MBAM fixes the settings, IOLO changes them right back, which is the reason for the repeat detections.

I hope that helps to clear things up, please let us know if you have any further questions or issues.

Thanks :)
