I dont know if this is normal or not and dont want to stop it from scanning my drives incase its almost finished now.. it scanned the biggest drive in 3 hours and the smaller one has been going for 8 hours now.. I defragged first, then repaired my registry and then used ccleaner then scanned for viruses got rid of about 60 then moved onto scan & clean spyware malware doing quick scan first worked very quickly only about 15 minutes if that.. by the way it has been working a treat since doing the first steps but then I decided to do a full scan of both drives and ive been waiting for it to finish ever since.. has it ever been known to take half a day or more before to complete a full scan before? because if so it doesnt bother me to continue to leave it scanning but if you think something is wrong and I should start over please let me know.. I have an HP SR5720AN intel celeron cpu 2ghz 2gb ram 32 bit running on vista service pack 2. I have 47.1 GB free of 139 GB on C: and I have 1.64 GB free of 10 GB on D: thanks

Hello mars100,

Sorry to see that you are infected. As we don't deal with malware removal in the General Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Forum, you need to start a topic in the Malware Removal forum so a qualified helper can help you fix any malware related problems/infections you may have.

You can follow the directions below and someone will assist you with running scans on your system to see if they can detect anything.

Please print out, read and follow the Directions HERE, skipping any steps you are unable to complete. Then post a NEW topic here.

One of the expert helpers there will give you one-on-one assistance when one becomes available.

After posting your new post make sure under options that you select Track this topic and choose one of the Email options so that you're alerted when someone has replied to your post.

Alternatively, as a paying customer, you can contact the help desk at support@malwarebytes.org

After you have the all clear from your helper and this long scan issue is still occurring please come back to this topic and I will be happy to assist in finding the root cause.

Thank you very much.
