Everyone,

Wanted to make a quick post about a virus I picked up a couple weeks ago. I was able to fix most of my issues using MalwareBytes after manually killing some things that were keeping me from even booting into windows "lsass.exe failed to initialize". Thanks guys. However I started noticing that depsite Malwarebytes giving me the all clear as well as many other antivirus and antispyware tools I was still getting redirected in google everytime I searched for something and clicked a link. So I started seracing again and found a Browser Helper Object (BHO) called atiadlxx32.dll installed in my IE add-ons. I disabled that and renamed the dll associated with it and viola no more google redirects. I also have searched my registry and currently have a few suspicious entries in the google toolbar quick search key which point to this dll and a website named www.prevx.com. I see they supposedly fix many malware and spyware applications but I sort of suspect now its more likely they are actually propagating the problems they "fix". I'm going to research this more but I know for sure removing this BHO has resolved my Google redirect issue. So if you have this problem check your browser add-ons under Tools>Internet Options>Programs>Manage Add-ons. It may have different names.
