peppypepsi Posted May 22, 2011 ID:432431 Share Posted May 22, 2011 Hi, computer seems to be infected with Qword malware (slowing down Internet usage, etc. - Qword appears in Internet Explorer in the upper right search box where Google should be and I can't get rid of it). I have read and followed initial instructions posted in this forum but some were not successful (i.e. ran DDS but it keeps freezing on me and won't generate a log). Here is my malwarebytes logMalwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.50.1.1100www.malwarebytes.orgDatabase version: 6634Windows 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3Internet Explorer 7.0.5730.1321/05/2011 2:52:47 PMmbam-log-2011-05-21 (14-52-47).txtScan type: Quick scanObjects scanned: 139823Time elapsed: 6 minute(s), 7 second(s)Memory Processes Infected: 0Memory Modules Infected: 0Registry Keys Infected: 0Registry Values Infected: 0Registry Data Items Infected: 0Folders Infected: 0Files Infected: 0Memory Processes Infected:(No malicious items detected)Memory Modules Infected:(No malicious items detected)Registry Keys Infected:(No malicious items detected)Registry Values Infected:(No malicious items detected)Registry Data Items Infected:(No malicious items detected)Folders Infected:(No malicious items detected)Files Infected:(No malicious items detected)Attached is my ARK.TXT file (FROM GMTOOL)ER Thanks so much for your help - also attached the defogger log file in case that helps.ark.txtdefogger_disable.log
