IE, TCP/IP issues after Antivirus 2009 removal

After using malwarebyes to remove "Antivirus 2009"; Internet Explorer locks up and whenever I try to review any TCP/IP information from the command prompt it also freezes up, but only when a network connection is detected. If I leave the RJ45 disconnected I can ping the loopback with no problems, connect the RJ45 and it goes back to the same freeze issue...

Any Suggestions?

Howdy,

Reset your modem/router. There should be a button somewhere on it that will allow you to reset it. Also just to make sure you are clean you might want to post an HJT log here. Make sure to read the pinned topics at the top of the forum.

I will post the log shortly; the problem with the PC locking up is across the entire IP Stack, it makes no difference if the internet connection is dial-up, DSL, cable or even GSM????? I have ran WinsockFix but no luck!

Have you tried safe mode with networking by chance? It actually sounds like there may be something else that mbam isn't detecting... have you run any other antispyware software out there?

You may have some remments of an infection on your computer.
