XP Total Security/ Windows Security Virus

Another user here who also is battling this thing. I have read the tutorial on bleepingcomputer and it wants me to import the various rKill/mbam files using a flash drive but my (ancient) computer does not recognize my flash drive and wants me to look for programs to install with, which are all online, which I cannot access due to this virus. Any ideas on how to proceed using only the existing files on my computer? I have MalwareBytes but it will not open, even after changing the name.
