Thank you guys for helping me clean up my desktop last week. With LDTate's help, I've run ATF Cleaner, GooredFix, and TDSS Killer, then a rescan on updated MBAM. No infected files found. I got the all clear from LDTate last week. Now I'm busy updating everything. I've run into a snag with the Windows update. When I reboot my computer I get a message that usipit.dll is missing, and when I go to update Windows, I get a 0x80070424 error, which I think means that one of the registry files is corrupt? Is there a fix for this? I am wary of EVERYTHING now!

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Amy

regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\mshtml.dll

regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\msjava.dll

regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\jscript.dll

regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\msxml.dll

regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\actxprxy.dll

regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\shdocvw.dll

Click on OK or hit ENTER, wait a few seconds, then click on OK

Try the updates
