Recently I have posted the topic in General Forum under Topic Title of FileASSASSIN to remove a folder consisting of 3 files in USB through use of FileASSASSIN under Tool of MBAM v1.50 installed but was unsuccessful. Those files could not be deleted with message of "cannot delete file" & "cannot read source file or disk" as well as under Safe Mode.

Those files have been scanned with MBAM and Avira AntiVir Premium v10.0.0.60 and no trace of malware was being detected. As recommended by exile, subject is now posted under Malware Romoval Forum to seek your expert assistance to have the problem solved.

Hi,screen317!

That folder is stored in USB consisting of 4 files. Each file is more than 1GB. I can't remember what sort of files they are as the names and contents are not familiar with. Each time when I try to delete that folder, warning message appeared with "cannot delete file" & "cannot read source file or disk". Recently I have tried to delete them one after the other using FileASSASSIN under Tool of MBAM, delete work has been done with message of deleted successfully. But actually those files are still there when I re-opened the folder.

Please advise how I can remove them from my USB and no malware or antivirus was ever detected from them after scanning.

Hi.

Please advise how I can remove them from my USB and no malware or antivirus was ever detected from them after scanning.

Do you mean your USB drive/flash drive?

Plug it in, then click Start --> Run, and type in cmd.exe; press Enter.

Enter this command (replace X with the drive letter for your flash drive):

dir X:>"%userprofile%\desktop\dir.txt"

Press Enter.

Open dir.txt on your Desktop and post it here.

When I press ENTER after I enter the command and message of "System cannot find the specific path" appeared. What should I do then?

I then move all my files to my Hard Drive and have that suspicious file remained in USB Flash Drive and have it formatted. The problem is now solved and thanks for your recent assistance in the matter.

You can advise another better removal method if similar case happened again in future.

Many thanks!

Please advise how to add alcohol 120% into Ignore List as everytime I open it warning message appears. Thanks!

Problem is now solved as already added into Ignore List of MBAM.

There is nothing else for help at the moment.

Thanks a lot!
