Bobc11 Posted May 15, 2011 ID:429398 Share Posted May 15, 2011 We have fixed all DNS issues, and other problems with the server and workstations, we are running UPH Cleanup Service on all workstations, but it takes about 5-10 minutes to "Apply personal settings" I could post a video of the logon. Please help. We really need this fixed.

exile360 Posted May 18, 2011 ID:430398 Share Posted May 18, 2011 If that's the case, you should be able to disable the network connection for your NIC before you shut the machine down and then enable it again after you log in. You can create a shortcut to the NIC to do this on your desktop if you wish.

Firefox Posted May 19, 2011 ID:431222 Share Posted May 19, 2011 If your DHCP server is not setup correctly, and it assigns an IP address to the computers with the wrong IP ranges, including DNS ip numbers then the computers take a long time to log in cause they time out due to not being able to find things quickly especially active directory.... Some people like to change theirs and make it start with something different; however, that is what the default IP address begins with.If your IP address begins with 169 then you could be having a problem with the DHCP server. Anytime I have a 169 IP address I usually have to do a hard reset on my modem/router. If that doesn't work then I usually call my ISP provide to see if the problem is on their end.
