8.many of the applications in my controlpanel is not working.

things i tried

1.i tried to edit the registry first using tune up registry editor to bring up the taskman but the value don't change.

2.then i formatted my partition where xp is installed and the reinstalled xp but the problem persisted

3.i removed my hard disk connected it with my friend system and run through a full scan of kaspersky antivirus and then reinstalled xp... the problem still persist.

i need

Greetings and welcome to the forum. Please download Dial-a-fix from here: http://djlizard.net/software/Dial-a-fix-v0.60.0.24.zip Once it's downloaded, extract it and run Dial-a-fix.exe. Click on the Policies button on the bottom and a window should pop up showing permissions that are disabled on your system. Please ensure that all policies have a check next to them and click the Remove button on the bottom left. After that, see if you can use regedit, taskmanager etc. If you can, then please attempt to follow the instructions here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=2936

and post your logs in a new topic here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showforum=7

If your problems persist and you are unable to perform those steps please let me know.
