Hi recently i got helped cleaning my system of malware and now that all seems to be clear i still have some issues regarding only games i believe.

during the infection 1 of my games somehow just wont work properly anymore (it has been working for the last 4-5 years)

the problem is once i start the game (Turbosliders 2D top down view racing game) and i play around for some minutes driving laps +/- 7minutes at some point im getting a bsod and my laptop begins to restart.

this is from my point of view very weird as the game isnt big (not much memory eating, game stopped being developed no updates) or whatever i can think off i know i wrote in the title updating drivers might be the solution but i never needed to update my drivers before on any pc to run this game normally, + a game that makes my laptop bsod freaks me out hehe.

so id like some assistance with my problem please, tell me what to provide and i will do so

Thanks in advance

Jurgen

bump and some more info: the game requires the following files maybe something during the cleanup wiped it away hope someone can help me find the solution or problem.

SDL, SDL_gfx,

SDL_image, SDL_net, lib_png, lib_jpeg, zlib, OpenAL, libogg, libvorbis

and libvorbisfile.

Or just install the SDL runtime library. SDL is a cross-platform multimedia library used for rendering graphics, playing sound, and so on. My graphics/audio programming on Linux depends exclusively on SDL. Here is a link to the win32 version. http://www.libsdl.org/release/SDL-1.2.14-win32.zip

However, other libraries (libpng, libjpeg, libogg, libvorbis, zlib, ...) aren't included with it, so your best bet would probably be to reinstall the application, as it should have all dependencies included, instead of downloading file by file.

Thanks both for your reply's and heres mine reply

well i have reinstalled the game twice now with no progress game runs fine, i checked the files i named above if they were in the application folder and they were.

but after just a little while when i start playing the game i get a blue screen windows restart,

i can however observe/spectate others in the multiplayer over the net for as long as i want but as soon as i start playing for and then after a while ... yea

but just now i took a search for SDL in the windows directory (just cause well im no expert but i would think that there would a file in that directory something such as SDL.dll or something similiar) but that search came up with 0 results

any ideas tips next for me??

Thanks =)

If it's heat related, then running it full screen could make all the difference in the world, as that requires much more GPU power. It could also be TDR.

If it's related to the infection you had, then you might try installing the latest DirectX, as some DirectX components may have been damaged by the infection.

Other than that, removing your graphics drivers and installing the latest ones from your GPU's manufacturer might help:
