Virus disabled Microsoft Security Essentials, Windows Security Center and Windows Defender

Hi,

I found a similar question on these forums but the solution given in it is not working for me and that thread is locked so I am creating a new one. (that question is here: http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=71178 )

I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium x64. Few days ago I downloaded an .exe file and when I ran it nothing happened. After assuming it was a virus, I did right click on that file and scanned with Windows Security Essentials. Instead of cleaning virus the Windows security essentials got disabled, and I was not able to run it even after reinstall. Same thing happened to Windows Defender and Windows Security Center. All got stopped and I am not able to start them even from services.msc control panel (with admin privileges)

I uninstalled Windows Security Center and installed Avira free edition, it removed lots of viruses but still Windows Defender and Windows Security Center can't be started. Then I downloaded Beta version of Norton Internet Security 2012 and scanned but nothing detected. I have also scanned with Malwarebytes but nothing detected.

I also tried to do a restore, but the System restore service is also disabled by the virus.

also when I tried ComboFix with the instructions given in this thread: http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=71178

it gave me a warning saying ComboFix has detected some real time scanners:

antivirus: Microsoft Security Essentials

antispyware: Microsoft Security Essentials

and it asked me to disabled these.

The problem is I have uninstalled Microsoft Security Essentials and I am presently having Norton Internet Security 2012 beta(which was disabled before running combofix)

never mind with a new windows update which I did today the issue got fixed and I was able to start all these services through services.msc
