swinlv Posted May 10, 2011 ID:427068 Share Posted May 10, 2011 Aloha, from Las Vegas, Thanks for all the great information, I have managed to pretty much remove Windows recovery from 2 machines over the last few days.thanks to Malwarebytes, Combofix and unhide.exe . I do have 1 missing part of this recovery, I am missing all of my desktop Icons on one machine and the Icons are Faded out on the other. the funny thing is that there is no desktop folder in the infected user folder. ( both Machines are XP pro SP3 Any suggestions would be great as I use my desktop as a scatterfield for all kinds of documents, photos & folders.All good thingsSteveAnd I have no right click ability on my desktop...Thanks Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
Staff screen317 Posted May 12, 2011 Staff ID:428310 Share Posted May 12, 2011 Hi and welcome to Malwarebytes.Please update MBAM, run a Quick Scan, and post its log.Next, download DDS by sUBs and save it to your Desktop.Double-click on the DDS icon and let the scan run.
