Virus? Error 372, missing taskbar, Unable to run MBAM

1. Cannot run/uninstall or reinstall MBAM

2. Cannot print or use scanners

3. Cannot copy, cut, or paste files or text

4. Missing taskbar

5. Cannot run Internet explorer (using Firefox)

6. Unable to upload/attach files to internet programs

Hi and welcome to Malwarebytes.

Please reboot to Safe Mode (tap the F8 key just before Windows starts to load and select the Safe Mode option from the menu).

Rename mbam.exe to explorer.com and see if it will run.

Next, download DDS by sUBs and save it to your Desktop.

Double-click on the DDS icon and let the scan run. When it has run two logs will be produced, please post only DDS.txt directly into your reply.

Hi,

I notice that you are using more than one antivirus program (ClamWin and avast). This is very dangerous, as multiple AVs can interfere with one another and actually allow MORE viruses to get through. I strongly suggest you go to Start -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs and uninstall all but one antivirus program.

Click Start --> Run, type in services.msc and press Enter.

Scroll down to Cryptographic Services (cryptsvc), right-click it, and click Properties.

Set the Startup Type to "Automatic" and then click Start.

Reboot and see if the issues persist.
