Feature request: Restore quarantined files to other directory

Hi,

it would be very useful to me if I could restore files that are in Quarantine to a directory of my choosing.

At the moment I have to restore the files and then manually copy them to the directory I want them to be.

Thank you for the suggestion. Somebody made this same suggestion before, so I reported it to the developers for consideration. Hopefully we will see this feature added in a future release because I do believe it is an excellent idea .

It was possible to manage and I did it often - to help poeple

here in Avira forum -

You have to edit hte corresponding BackupFile in the Quarantaine -

this was a simple text file like :

0=Heuristics.Reserved.Word.Exploit

1=11.12.2011

2=File

3=c:\dokumente und einstellungen\admina\eigene dateien\downloads\uSeRiNiT.exe

4=37024

here you could edit the path to for example C:\suspicius\

BUT !

this is not possible in MBams new version the backup text file isnt readable

This is planned for a later release. The reason the file can no longer be read is likely because it is now in an encrypted format for security, but we do intend to add the functionality of allowing quarantined items to be restored to user selected locations eventually, I just don't know when.
