Hello Code Hunter

Back in the day I was going to do same thing, but I found an easier way by using a USB To Dual PS/2 Keyboard/Mouse Adapter. hth

Note

This looks like the same info I read back in the day, that convinced me to get the PS/2-USB adapter

That's what I would normally do but the PS2 connector was removed from the cable before the keyboard was brought to me.

Now thats a different story, could use the PS/2plug/with wires that was cut off the KB if feasible, find another PS/2 plug with wires/ solder and then do the USB adapter method or buy an inexpensive usb keyboard. ah, these are probally the same thoughts that may have cross your mind.

Use this method at your own risk:

the jerry rig method would be, if feasible is to put enough solder separately on each of the four wires to plug in PS/2 part of the usb adapter and the tape the subject.

I just gave the guy a call and told him it would be cheaper for him to just buy a USB keyboard. $8.00-$100 US at several locations.
