Unable to recover hidden files using Unhide.exe

My computer has recently been infected by the "windows recovery virus"

and although I have been able to remove this virus, all my files are still hidden.

From searching around the net I was advised to use "unhide.exe" and whilst

I thought it was great news, once I had download and was about to run the program, I ran into a problem.

Whenever I try and run "unhide.exe" I get a pop-up saying:

"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate

permisions to access the item"

I have already tried running as administrator, and my account currently is the administrator and

has full control. I currently have Windows Vista basic and have network access. Another problem I have had is also

with running "rkill", is there possibly a link?

I was wondering if there was an alternative program to unhide.exe or a way to get around the problem as specified in the pop-up.

Thank you :)

Please download exeHelper to your desktop.

Double-click on exeHelper.com to run the fix.

A black window should pop up, press any key to close once the fix is completed.

Post the contents of log.txt (Will be created in the directory where you ran exeHelper.com)

Note: If the window shows a message that says "Error deleting file", please re-run the program before posting a log - and post the two logs together (they will both be in the one file).

Run exeHelper.

If Unhide still doesn't work

It would appear you are still infected.
