Thanks for offering the help but i managed to get it fixed...if you want to know for future reference with this same problem, here is what i did

i used 4 programs

Spybot search and destroy

Malwarebytes Anti malware

Hijackthis

HostsXpert

i ran those programs in that order and after running hijackthis i still had the problem with not being able to access certain webpages. I read in this same topic a solution that one of the moderators gave another person experiencing the same problem and decided to run the HostsXpert. After running the 4th and final program i got my homepage back and full access to all of the pages that i previously could not access. From what i hear, after following what i did, Internet explorer still has problems with the homepage, my suggestion to that would be to use Mozzilla Firefox. It has google as its homepage and works fine if you want to change it after you have the Intervalhehehe virus.

PS: this site is awesome, saved me a trip to the local computer shop or having to wait to get my uncle to take a look at my computer. Bookmarked just in case i run in to anymore trouble!(Knock on wood)
