bboone62 Posted April 16, 2011 ID:416754 Share Posted April 16, 2011 Today, a co-worker told me to check out malwarebytes.com to help get my laptop back on track after it got the Vista Anti-Virus 2011 the other evening. I downloaded the free version and ran it at the same time I was running AVG (which I subscribe to and have been using for quite some time). I was curious to see if they would both find the same things.AVG found NO infection. Malware found FOUR and removed them, getting my laptop back in working order. THANK YOU!!!! Two days ago I got a trojan,I run McAfee on my system and have never had a problem,suddenly I couldn't get into my email and windows kept closing web pages.I ran McAfee several times,it found nothing.I ran a program from MicroSoft,nothing found.A friend recommended Malwarebytes,I downloaded it and within seconds of the scan start 2 trojans and 1 adware were caught.Why McAfee didn't find them I have no idea,but Malwarebytes is the best !You made a believer out of me and a lot of love going out to all the tech's behind the scenes !!
