Malwarebytes: mbamservice.exe takes up too much memory

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have a computer running Windows XP Version 2002. Pentium 4 2.8GHz with 1.25 GB of Ram.

I recently installed malwarebytes on this computer and the process mbamservice.exe is being a memory hog. I tried restarting my computer to see if it was a memory leak in the software but that didn't seem to do anything, so I doubt that's the issue.

Is there a way to fix this? If I am doing nothing at all on my computer after it's loaded up, mbamservice.exe is taking up 138,000K of memory, almost more than all of any other processes combined.
