Hi all,

I recently seemed to have obtained a virus that goes by the name of "XP Home Security 2011." I believe it can be seen in the ano.exe in the tray manager.

Anyhow, I booted up into safe mode, ran a malwarebytes scan that found a number of things. After the scan, it requested that I restart my computer, which I did.

When it came to load, I got a blue screen of death everytime, with the below error:

OXOOOOOO7B

COXF78A2524

OXCOOOOO34

OXOOOOOOOO

OXOOOOOOOO

It would not let me into any of the safe modes either. The only option that worked was to load into "last known good configuration." This worked, and Im back in Windows, but the virus remains. Everytime I use malwarebytes, it detects the virus and tries to remove it, but upon restart, I get the BSOD in normal and safe modes. Seems like a never ending cycle.

Also, Ive tried using a system restore. It looks like its going to work, but when my computer is loading up, it tells me it failed to restore and to try a different date. None of the dates work.

Any ideas? Suggestions?
