Hello! I've gotten the following error since a reformat done as of last night. It was a restoral to OOBE state. I am using a Dell XPS L702X. The OS is Windows 7 Home Premium x64 build 7600hijackthis 04-12-11.txthijackthis startuplist 04-12-11.txt. I ran into problems immediately when trying to run TurboTax Home & Business 2010 (immediate appcrash when running, compatibility mode doesn't help... verified all .NETfx installations, no solution,) and now encounter this consistently:

An error has occured in the script on this page

line: 5

char: 5

error: Library not registered

Code: 0

URL: res//C:\Windows\system32\mmcndmgr.dll/views.js

...that's just an example. Library Not Registered is very persistent. I've done a lot of looking around and it seems to be the result of a corrupted uninstallation of the Windows Live Essentials group.

I'm getting answers here & there, also, that it's spyware/malware-related. Please help!

Thanks!

(Using SAS Pro-Registered, MBAM 1.50.1-up to date, shareware version, Avira AntiVir Personal, Spybot S&D 1.6.2 updated.) All scans clean, SAS crashed on game strategy guide file (BFG Games HTML redirect, as .exe)(???)

NOTE: Lots of Roxio-related products & services; haven't uninstalled them, as they cause LOTS of BSOD's. (have in the past)

User msicuu2.exe

Hi and welcome to Malwarebytes.

I doubt that this is malware related, but we can investigate.

Please update MBAM, run a Quick Scan, and post its log.

Next, download DDS by sUBs and save it to your Desktop.

Double-click on the DDS icon and let the scan run. When it has run two logs will be produced, please post DDS.txt directly into your reply.

Chris,

Thanks for your reply! I ran everything as requested + attached an additional report called "Attach" (from DDS.)

Furthermore, I got an error from DDS at the end, which is attached as a .JPG file.

Again, I really appreciate the help; thanks for the further investigation into this!

Regards,
