My desktop is infected with the rogue XP Anti Virus 2011

I made sure that I updated Malwarebytes, and I ran Malwarebytes' full scan, following the instructions to permit Malwarebytes to restart my computer. However, once my machine boots up, the XP Anti Virus window pops up again, and is in my system tray. I ran Malwarebytes two more times with a Quick Scan, each time it would find the same rogue files and delete them, but upon restart, the rogue application appears again. It does not allow me to open any applications, or IE 8 (I am using another computer on this network to write this message). I opened Malwarebytes by clicking on "run as" and selected a user. Double clicking on the icon will not open Malwarebytes.

I am not very computer savvy, so any help provided will need to be a step-by-step hand-holding. Help! (and thank you).
