Can I run Malwarebytes same time as antivirus program?

I'm thinking of purchasing the full version of Malwarebytes. Am I right in thinking that it scans in the background in real-time? And if so will there be any conflict between it and my antivirus program? I use BitDefender which is good but occaisionally it will let some spyware slip through.

It will run fine. I use NIS 2009 and it runs fine.

MBAM is not antivirus software and the research behind is designed to fill in the gaps left by most antivirus applications so not only will it not conflict with antivirus software , it will enhance any antivirus software .
