I notice when I am downloading updates for MBAM, that the clock does not run continuously. The time seems to stop for a few seconds and then the time (clock) will continue with the added seconds.

Should the clock run continuously? Or does it sometimes 'stop' and then continue again (with the right 'time').

Hope I have xplained this correctly.

I meant to say "the time-elapsed count clock when I scan does not run continuously" on both of my notebooks.

Is there something wrong with my MBAM on both notebooks functionally properly if that "Time Elapsed" count (clock) doesn't run continuously? Sometime the count will stop and then it will start again (with the correct count updated).

Hope someone knows what I am talking about.

Thanks Tigger93 and Excile360.

Yes, I am talking about "Time Elapsed" on the left side of the screen when I am doing a Scan, where it reads: "Time elapsed: 18 minute(s). 41 second(s)." The count seems to stop at times and then continue with updated count.

(It will stop for a while at 18 min, 41 secs, and then continue with 18 min, 48 secs, etc.)

So it is normal! Thank you.

I guess I am keeping you guys busy with my 'stupid' questions. I am trying to learn to understand this MBAM as best I can. Difficult learning so many things at the same time, especially when "problems' pop-up.

The only question that's stupid is the one you let go unasked. Your curiosity and attention to detail are admirable and the users here in my experience are very patient and helpful and more than willing to answer any questions (that includes the developers as well as they are very open with us).

Thank you. Your kindness is appreciated. I've already learned quite a lot from you. Got to get some other things done now.

Bye..

Hello Alice.

MBAM doesn't dedicate full resources to it's GUI, so on occasion, the GUI won't update; ie: the "pause" you see, and then when it does refresh, the clock is updated. MBAM is keeping track of time, it's just not always keeping you upto date on it.

This is an entirely normal function of the program. You are more than welcome to ask questions as they come up. I'm always happy to help answer any questions you may have about the software.
