Hourly Scans

Running MBAM Pro. The scan runs after an update. Not sure why.

In the Scan area I have all boxes checked except save log file. Frequency is Daily.

Here is yesterdays log file:

Hello, Heavus:

I think you are probably scheduled for hourly UPDATES and have enabled the option for MBAM to run a flash scan after updating.

Main window > Protection > scheduler > update tab.

Delete your current scheduled update task (they cannot be edited once created).

Then, to create a new one, click the update tab again, schedule it at your desired frequency, but UNCHECK the box for running a flash scan after successful update.

OTOH, it's not a bad idea to leave these flash scans enabled, since it allows MBAM to quickly scan "high risk" areas every time new definitions are downloaded...

Thanks. I did not have the Flash enabled but I may have in the past. So, I removed the update and took your advice. I'll let you know how it went.
