Ok guys am desperate here lol. Anyone who is very familiar with connecting your pc wit Windows Media Player 11 to the xbox 360, i would greatly appreciate your assistance.

Ok, so far i have followed all necessary steps that xbox.com/pcsetup instructed me to. At this point, when i go to my windows media player 11 on my pc and select the option to allow sharing, i can see the icon of my xbox 360, but the Allow button is greyed out. So i went further and scoured the internet for further ideas. I am using NOD32 as my antivirus and i suspect that is what is blocking it. I disabled my windows firewall to test if that was blocking a port or something but i still could not get the Allow button to become active to click. So if anyone is familiar with NESET antivirus and knows maybe the exact ports i need to manually open etc for this version or what else I need to do, let me know. I am hoping for detailed instructions (if possible) on how to add the info etc to ESET. Here are all my specs:

Currently running:

Windows XP SP2 (32 BIT)

Antivirus: ESET SMART SECURITY 4 VERSION 4.0.467.0

Hi THUGGY :)

I'm not too familiar with connecting to a Media Center Extender like the XBOX360 myself, but it's possible that all you need to do is update to Service Pack 3 via Windows Update to fix the issue. The Windows Firewall wouldn't block it, and if ESET is only an antivirus and is not the version that includes its own firewall, it wouldn't be blocking it either.

A guide on getting connected (which does seem to indicate that Service Pack 3 is a requirement) can be found here. If that does not work, then you may also need to enable File and Printer Sharing. A quick guide on how to do so may be found here.
