First Run Shows Infection...Please Help.

Ok guys...Hello,

I'm new in the forum, and new in using the MalwareBytes software. I have just installed it and run a quick scan and here are the results:

I would appreciate your help please. As you can see, I took no action, since I was not sure if it was OK to do so.

The stats key is a new location we are looking in for malware traces . In your case there is no CLSID nor dll to go with it so this key is nothing more than a trace from malware removed in the past .

Let MBAM fix it and you are done here .

OK Nosirrah...First of all, thank you for your quick reply...I really appreciate it...

To fix it, cos its the first time I'm using the software, do I have to run Quick Scan again, and then press the button "Remove"?

Will that create a log entry by the way? Will it place to quarantine?

Yes, you'll need to run the quick scan again and remove it and yes it will place it in the quarantine and yes it will place an entry in the log where it will say that it was removed successfully.

Just to give feedback...Re-scanned and the item was removed successfully. The above steps were created indeed.
