restoring office to windows xp after purging with malware

I successfully got rid of xp antispyware unregistred version this morning after using your super download.

Although I can now access my BTYahoo account through Internet Explorer, none of my links to other apps seem to function. E.g On the Start up menu I click on Office Word and it asks which application I want to open it with. There are no applications available apparently to let it open as it did previously. This also applies to other programmes.

Do I now have to reinsatll Windows xp and Microsoft Office? Is there an easy way of restoring the links from the Start-up as they were?
