Was audio working before?Is there an audio icon in the task tray?Go into the Control Panel and then into the Sound applet and see if something is off or muted, check the mixer and make sure its set properly.Make sure the speakers are plugged into the correct port on the PC and that they are powered on.Is there any sign of an infection on the computer? bibs Posted March 27, 2011 Author ID:405655 Share Posted March 27, 2011 sigh....my aunt said she wants her son to fix it. i'm so sorry. but to answer your question, the speakers are built in with the monitor, and yes, there is a sound program. the icon is in the taskbar and everything. i've tried switching between the two devices to no avail. and nothing is muted.
