I use the freeware MBAM along with some other anti-malware programs (Spybot S&D, SpyWareBlaster). Spybot will find tracking cookies after I have done an MBAM scan. The MBAM just gives me a clean bill of health all of the time. I check for updates everytime I am on the computer (virtually daily). Is it that MBAM just doesn't view tracking cookies as any real risk?

The biggest reason is that 95% of the people we asked did not want cookie scan either because they know that they are not actually malware (ware implies the ability to execute , cookies are data) or they already had awesome tools to deal with cookies .
