An error occured

I was about to close my computer down and I realized I needed to update my malwarbytes, so I went to it and then up popped

....AN ERROR OCCURED. Please report this error code to our support team...PROGRAM_ERROR_MISSING_FILE(2,0mbamswissarmy.sys)

The system cannot find this file specified.

I don't know what happened..so could you help me out....It's the free download...I also have avast and AVG....I was starting to

update my malwarebytes...and this came up on my computer...I don't know what is wrong. Could you possibly help me out. Thanks

Hello Nana,

First off, we recommend to only have one Anti-Virus Software running real-time components installed on a system. If both Avast and AVG are running real-time components please choose whether to only use one of the real-time components from either Avast or AVG.

Then, please do the following:

• Download and run mbam-clean.exe from here
  
• It will ask to restart your computer, please allow it to do so very important
  
• After the computer restarts, temporarily disable your Anti-Virus and install the latest version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from here
  
  • Note: You will need to reactivate the program using the license you were sent via email if using the Pro version
    
  • Launch the program and set the Protection and Registration. Then go to the UPDATE tab if not done during installation and check for updates.
    Restart the computer again and verify that MBAM is in the task tray if using the Pro version. Now setup any file exclusions as may be required in your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security/Firewall applications and restart your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security applications. You may use the guides posted in the FAQ's here or ask and we'll explain how to do it.
