Recommended Posts

I would like to purchase 2 malwarebytes licenses...

1 for personal use and 1 for y clients...I would like to keep this legal so I want to delete the malwarebytes serial when I am done.....

I don't care if I have to edit hexes...

Is this possible or will I just have to securely wipe malwarebytes off their computers, ten reinstall?

Welcome to the forum Newgrounds. Are you talking about clients as in using it to clean computers as a technician? If so, I believe Malwarebytes' does offer a technician's license that you can purchase. You can PM RubberDucky to find out more about that. If you are talking about simply carrying the program with you to protect you when you use other people's computers, then I'm honestly not sure, but perhaps one of the experts or developers will chime in.

I would like to use a paid license on my customer's PCs so that they are safe while I am gone...

Is there any way to remove a license after it has been put onto malwarebytes without uninstalling?

Also I may talk to rubberducky about that technician's license...What is it used for exactly?

What do you mean safe while you are gone? Are you talking about basically giving them MBAM with realtime protection on forever without them paying for it? If so, then no, there's no way to do that. If I misunderstood, I'm sorry. As far as a technician's license goes, it allows you to use the program to install on computer's that belong to your customers to remove infections. Obviously you're doing this anyway, but technically it's illegal and against the End User License Agreement for the software. Because, while MBAM is being provided to you for free, for personal use, you are using it to get paid to clean up pc's and basically reaping profits for yourself off of Malwarebytes' hard work. This is why a technician's license is necessary for not only MBAM, but any other software that is freeware that you use for work for which you get paid unless it expressly says in the End User License Agreement that it is ok to use in a commercial environment (which most don't). Aside from that, I believe the developers are working on some neat exclusive features for a special commercial version that will be included with the technician's license that will make it a much handier tool in that sort of environment.

Sure. Just navigate to this key HKLM\Software|MalwareBytes

Under the key you will find these:

ID and Key.. remove them, walla, unregistered again.
