X P Anti-Virus 2011

Hello, I have an anti-virus infection "X P Anti-Virus 2011" infecting my computer. I cannot download Malwarebytes to that computer. I did manage to get highjack this installed, and I'll post my log. I hope someone can help me, and thanks very much.

Carefully read and follow this Guide.

Make sure you run rkill and then immediately run MBAM as desribed.

Most important....update MBAM before you run it.

[*]Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following, making sure you get them all and not any others by mistake:

Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

I don't know what did it, maybe just removing the above as you said, but I finally got rid of the virus and malwarebytes is installing fine now. Thanks very much for the help - I hope I didn't screw my computer up too bad with all that I did trying to remove the damn virus. Thanks again.
