discover license for Pro version

Occassionally, I have a customer running Malwarebyte's Pro and I need to reinstall Malwarebytes or transfer it to another PC. How do I discover their ID and lIcense key if they do not know it? Belarc Advisor finds many license keys except for security programs.

The customer was emailed their ID/Key from Cleverbridge in most cases. If they purchased from another source such as a computer repair shop then that shop should have record of their purchase as well.

In most cases though you would simply contact Cleverbridge Customer Service

and they will be able to assist with the ID/Key for the program.

I have contacted Cleverbridge before but was unable to get the codes because the customer did not have the orignal e-mail message and/or did not even still have the same e-mail account. Giving the customer's name and address was not enough. Usually, they just lose the program because they will not pay again for another license. I was hoping Malwarebytes might have a utility to discover the license so it could be used on a reinstall.

It really seems strange to me but I have come across many customers who have never saved an e-mail message yet they have every paper bill that have recieved for the last 20 years. Their view is that anything important is on paper. At least if they had printed the e-mail message they would have it.

Well in most cases a user (not you perhaps as a second party) a user can provide enough information to locate the record. I'm not sure about current billing but I know the older ones did tell the customer they should print it out.
