I recommend Malwarebytes too all my customer, I have tried to set up a partner account several time, I am usually rejected because my website ranking is low, and I understand that, however you should also understand I would not rely only my website, my customers rely on my porfessional opinion as far as what to use. so basically at this point even though the pro version IS BETTER I cannot see recommending my customers to buy a product that will not let the person who recommended it get benifit also

First of all I agree on the website partner part, as in I see what you are saying. However, the paid for version is so much better I recomend it to my clients. A matter of fact, I wont warranty any work if the client doesn't have a anti virus and an active protection antimaleware. If you suggest the free one, your clients system isn't protected you just have the power to remove infections. The paid for version actively protects and for that purpose alone I suggest it.

Spy bot actively protects for free but I feel like it's not as strong as MBAM.

I agree with you 100% and yes spybot is not very good any more......and yes my customers are protected... my whole point was the fact they are so focused on web sales they forget where the BEST sales force is.....and WE are it, why? because my customers TRUST ME.....how many people these days trust just a website?

My company resellers MBAM , SurfRight products , AVIRA and ESET products.

ESET's , AVIRA's and SurfRight's way of partnering is very simple and easy . I am really please with them all.

Even though we reseller MBAM too I don't like their way of partnering at all. It definitely needs improvement. The company , staff , program - they are all excellent , brilliant , just the partner part needs changes.

My own opinion is that you should make your own partner portal just like AVIRA , SurfRight and ESET have and you should NOT care about so much about site reputation . You should accept more resellers and partners. The more partners you have , bigger amount of sells.

Examples of good way of handling partners:

- the company SurfRight (that makes Hitman Pro and Caretaker) uses Cleverbridge's services for any type of reseller including affiliates , home/office products and enterprise products . I don't understand why you don't do the same - you do it just for affiliates. Their partners (resellers/affilates/etc) have access to their website portal for the prices and for ordering any type of licences including business ones , too. You may have a preferred distributor for boxed products and big sales but I my self don't like working with 3rd party like DSolution in our case. I have nothing against DSolution , I just don't fancy working with 3rd parties but would prefer working with the vendor directly. So , partners have access to the portal and when it comes to the real purchase , all kind of purchases go though Cleverbridge , which is prefered by me.

- AVIRA and ESET do the same . AVIRA and ESET even offer more in their portals like logos , contacting support dept. , marketing dept. or sales dept. AVIRA uses Cleverbridge , too . ESET uses Netsuit - but just for the payment - the portal is all vendor's.

Currently only affiliates that are accepted work with Cleverbridge , there is no such thing as partner portal for small resellers and you transfer your small resellers work with third party distributor like DSolution .

My experience is that people have great difficulty surfing the internet to find my website when their PC is broke. Over 90% of my customers find me by recommendations - - not website browsing.

You can still buy 5 or 10 licenses at a time to get the bulk discount then resell them to your customers.

My experience is that people have great difficulty surfing the internet to find my website when their PC is broke. Over 90% of my customers find me by recommendations - - not website browsing.

true but for less hassle let me give you an example......I also use superantispyware with malwarebytes it is a great combo........the affiliate programs is super easy to get into.....they give you a link that is non expiring so if a customer installs from the link...if they buy 3 months later you still get credit.......even though my customers trust me..many want to see a program work before buying it......also from time to time superantispyware runs a promo that lets me get 10 licenses for 100.00...many times I will do that and then give them the program for FREE with their service....

it is nice to see others share the same view as me.....Malwarebytes is a great program.......but too many scams on the net that scares people from buying software on the web...(ya have to remember what are most of the viruses we are removing today trying to do? yup buy software)......so you are looking at your best sales agents right here
