Hi, thanks.

I can connect to my wireless network just fine but whenever I try to visit any website, I get a "this page cannot be displayed" message regardless of what browser I'm using. I figured since this didn't start happening until immediately after I removed a virus, it may have something to do with it.

Welcome to MB :D

Can you be more specfic on can't browse internet. Its pretty vague. Do you mean searching on the internet?

I did the ping loopback and that was successful.

For the network connections, under 'Internet Gateway", I notice it says "disabled" under Internet Connection so I right-clicked to Enable it...a box popped up that says "Connected" but then nothing happens and it still says 'disabled' even though I enabled it. I'm connected to my wireless network ok - I just can't browse at all.

Are you still not able to access the internet??

If not

Run HijackThis, and press "Do a System Scan Only".

1. When the scan is complete place a check mark next to the following entries:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyServer = http=127.0.0.1:9090

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyOverride = *.local;<local>

O2 - BHO: 890166 helper - {A48FE9AC-DD02-4FF7-9211-B7BA9A2C8BF2} - (no file)

2. After checking these items CLOSE ALL open windows EXCEPT HijackThis and click "Fix Checked." Then, reboot your computer...

In your next reply, post a fresh Hijackthis log. Let me know about internet access. Thanks
