System Tool Malware and Free Version of Malwarebytes

I recently contracted the System Tool malware. I do not currently have MALWAREBYTES installed on my laptop. If I can successfully download the 'free version' of malwarebytes will it be effective in cleaning the System Tool malware off my laptop?

Hello and :)

Funny you should mention that, I have just worked on a computer with exactly this infection, and I used the free version of Malwarebytes to clean it....

So Yes the free version will work....
