dromoreroad Posted February 28, 2011 ID:394290 Share Posted February 28, 2011 My PC (MS Vista Basic) is infected with the System Tool Virus & I have been unsuccessful in getting into safe mode. F8 key takes me to correct menu screen. Upon selecting Windows Safe Mode / Networking option Windows appears to start loading. However after 30 seconds screen returns to HP Recovery Screen (no safe mode option). Have tried this at least twelve times without success. Can you please help with this? Windows Error Recovery Screen appears with 2 options - Launch Startup Repair or Start Windows normally.Selecting Option 1 or 2 - Windows cannot repair this computer automatically .... Problem details drop down box: Problem Signature (PS)/ Event:Startup Repair v2, PS 01 AutoFallover, PS02 6.0.6000.16386.6.0.6001.18000 etc. Repeated pressing F8: <Advanced Boot Options>.Any option takes me back to Windows Error Recovery Screen.I hope this information help.
