Desktop has system tool, need help

Recommended Posts

My desktop has system tool, and I think I may have seen Aantivirus malware too. Can't update MBAM,getting message error updating 12007. Also having trouble getting it online in its current state. Using my laptop to look for answers, which is clean and has an updated version of MBAM. I can run MBAM on the desktop, but I think its outdated

(4 months since last updated). When I ran it, it didn't pick up any problems. I have a flash drive available, maybe would help in transferring the update across the systems? Thanks in advance for anyone who can help. MBAM has always been helpful. By the way, I was only able to run it in safe mode.

Please try again to run your MBAM installation file, but first:

Please download and run the following tool to help allow other programs to run. (courtesy of BleepingComputer.com)

There are 4 different versions. If one of them won't run then download and try to run the other one.

Vista and Win7 users need to right click and choose Run as Admin

You only need to get one of them to run, not all of them.

  1. rkill.exe
  2. rkill.com
  3. rkill.scr
  4. rkill.pif
  5. WiNlOgOn.exe
  6. uSeRiNiT.exe

Please post the log in your next reply.

Note: The log can be found at the root of your installed hard drive entitled rkill.log

This tool should take care of rogue for awhile and allow you to install MBAM.

Let me know.
