System Security Virus will not allow me to run Malwarbytes

Recommended Posts

I guess I need help.

Somehow my Windows 7 64bit system has been infected with this Security Virus which displays the following upon booting the machine:

"Warning Your're in Danger!! Your Computer is infected with Spyware" etc

This starts the second my system boots and will not allow anything else to run (antivirus, firewall, taskmgr, cmd, msconfig etc) nothing.

I know that this is malware and it wants me to install more malware upon it's suggestion.

I cannot get rid of it.

1) i cannot run any .exe including any host of renaming an executable - this means that Malwarebytes will not work. "application cannot be executed"

2) I cannot get into msconfig, cmd, task manager, nor can I go back to an earlier restore point. The Malware has blocked everything including my antivirus - avast and my zonealarm firewall.

3) i have started in safemode with networking and run malwarebytes from there but no luck as it runs and does not find any problem. I try to update maleware bytes but it gives me the following error: 732(12029,0)

Also when I download a new version of Malwarebytes and try to install and run it I get the following PROGRAM_ERROR_UPDATING (12029, 0, WinHttpSendRequest)

4) I have been at this for about 4-5 hours and have not been able to use any of the many "methods" provided on google searches including:

Rkill, desperately trying ctrl- alt-del to get to taskmgr etc. none run because of the System Security Malware.

I cannot essentially use my computer and I am using an older one to type this message. I use Opera browser and I can go to websites but I cannot print nor in any way attempt anything the malware does not want me to.

Any suggestions?

i am currently rerunning the latest download of malwarebytes in hopes that it magically fixes or finds something.

Thank you for any help. I am essentially about 4 days or so from just doing an entire re-install as this has made my computer useless.

Greetings and welcome :)

I'm sorry to hear of your troubles, please do the following and one of our malware removal specialists will work with you one on one until your issue is resolved:

We don't work on Malware removal in the general forums.

Please read and follow the directions here, skipping any steps you are unable to complete. Then create a NEW topic here.

One of the expert helpers there will give you one on one assistance when one becomes available.

Please note that it may take 48 hours or more for you to receive a response in the malware removal forum, as it is often busy at times. Please do not reply to your own post asking for help unless its been more than 48 hours since you originally posted, as this can make it appear as though you are being helped and take longer for you to get help.

If you are unable to do all or any of the steps in the link to the directions above, just post your problem into the forum I gave you a link to anyway and someone will be able to assist you.

Thank you :)
