Computer freezes

Hello everyone,

First of all, I'd like to introduce myself to, what I've so far seen, is a great community. I've had my computer for 4 years, still running now, although way less smoothly than when it started.

When this began to happen, some months ago, I barely noticed any important change, just the speed that had decreased. Nevertheless, this problem is becoming deeper, and in the past weeks, I've experienced various times when the screen rejected to change nor accept any command given by me.

Therefore I downloaded one anitivrus, in addition to my avg. This new one, tendro macro titanium, detected some 217 threats, including trojans, spyware and a large amount of minor threats. This confirmed my suspicious that my computer was infected and has been worrying me since the first alert.

For all this, I adress you, so you can give me any advice that you can, even the most little tip will be greatly appreciated, as I really need some help. I trust a solution will be found, so please answer me as soon as possible.

I hope I've explained me enough clearly, for everyone that is readying this, thank you for your time and patience. If you want more details, please ask me whatever you find necessary.

Except from being slow are there any other issues ?

Having more than 1 antivirus or other security product may seriously damage your computer and will not make you safer .

As I said, the main problem is that the screen freezes, specially after executing a problem that takes a lot of CPU( I think that's how you call it, I'm quite a newbie here). That unables me to perform any action, so I must take off my laptot battery in order to turn it off.

Also, I'm aware that it's not very safe to have more thatn 1 antivirus, I just download the other one because the first didn't seem to detect any viruses. Anyway, the license of my newest antivirus is over, so this problem is solved XD
