MBAM & Microsoft Antimalware

Hi Guys:

I'm new around here so Hello to everybody!

I'm using MSE new v2 and have downloaded MBAM's free version to try out how this combo works together, but see that MBAM is trying to install in Microsoft Antimalware>LocalCopy folders. Why? Would you please confirm what MBAM's correct default installation folder is?

Further, if are there any known compatibility issues between these two guys, specially in respect of MSE's new version 2.0.657.0 I have just upgraded to.

No such thing as Microsoft Antimalware>LocalCopy folders , MBAM installs in X:\Program files\ , where X is your drive letter.

There are known problems between MBAM and MSE

There should be no conflicts between MSE v2 and Malwarebytes Free....

If you go with Malwarebytes Pro, to avoid any conflicts all you have to do is follow the instructions below....

Set Exclusions for Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware in Microsoft Security Essentials on 32 bit Windows Versions:

1. Open Microsoft Security Essentials and click on Settings at the top
   
2. Click on Excluded processes on the left
   
3. Click on the Add... button
   
4. Click on the + next to your primary hard drive (usually C:)
   
5. Click on the + next to Program Files
   
6. Click on the + next to Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
   
7. Click once on mbam.exe and click on OK
   
8. Repeat steps 3-7 for the following files:
   
   • C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamgui.exe
     
   • C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamservice.exe
     

[*]Click on Save at the bottom and click Continue if prompted

• Close Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
